The National Numeracy Programme (NNP) is led by the Malawi Ministry of Education and is funded by UK aid from the UK government.

A National Steering Committee provides high-level, strategic advice and direction to the programme and makes recommendations to the Ministry of Education’s Executive Management, the Secretary Education. 

A Programme Coordinating Committee reviews and approves programme work plans and facilitates programme implementation.

Key Ministry Directorates and institutions are represented in the National Steering Committee and Programme Coordinating Committee, including the Malawi Institute for Education and the Directorate for Quality Assurance Services. 

Cambridge Education of the Mott MacDonald Group is leading the NNP consortium that provides technical assistance to the Ministry of Education to design, pilot and scale up the programme.
